The prints in Changing Topography seek to inspire an awareness of the beauty and connection within the transitory experience. Topographic maps and the words contained therein are used as metaphoric devices that navigate the mind towards and away from places, states of longing, dislocation and relocation, near and far. This awareness is important for the affirmation of our place and humaness in a forever changing world. Personally I seek the viewers' connection to places and times that are meaningful to them by viewing places that are meaningful to me. These connections grant me affirmation of my own humanness.
